What is your refund policy?

Last updated 1 June 2026

BuyMyTune sells digital music downloads. Here's how refunds work.

The short version

Digital downloads are generally non-refundable once you've accessed them. This is standard for digital goods under UK consumer law, which allows the right of withdrawal to be waived once digital content delivery has started — and you agree to this when you complete checkout.

When we will issue a refund

We handle refunds on a case-by-case basis in the following situations:

  • You were charged twice due to a technical error.
  • The download never worked — you genuinely couldn't access your purchase despite trying the steps in Where are my downloads?.
  • Unauthorised payment — someone used your account or PayPal without your permission.
  • Wrong release purchased — if you genuinely purchased the wrong item and haven't downloaded it, contact us promptly.

How to request a refund

Contact us and select Payment issue as the topic. Include:

  • Your email address
  • The release name
  • Your PayPal transaction ID (you'll find this in your PayPal account under Activity)
  • A brief explanation of the problem

We aim to respond within 2 business days.

Common questions

I bought a release and don't like it — can I get a refund? Unfortunately not. We encourage you to use the free preview before buying. The 90-second preview is available for every track on every release.

I accidentally bought the same release twice. Contact us with both transaction references and we'll refund the duplicate.
