You can unpublish or archive a release at any time, but there are a few things to bear in mind if fans have already purchased it.
The difference: unpublish vs. archive
| Action | Effect |
| --- | --- |
| Unpublish | The release is hidden from Browse and your public profile. Existing buyers keep their download access. |
| Archive | Same as unpublish, but marks the release as permanently retired. It won't appear in your dashboard's active list. |
Neither option removes download access for people who have already purchased.
How to unpublish or archive
1. Go to Dashboard → My Releases.
2. Find the release and click the three-dot menu (⋯) on the right.
3. Choose Unpublish or Archive.
What happens to existing buyers
Fans who have already purchased the release can still re-download it from their Downloads Library even after you unpublish or archive it. Their purchase is a permanent entitlement to the files they bought.
Deleting a release entirely
If a release has no sales, you can delete it completely from the same three-dot menu. This removes the release and its audio files from our servers permanently — this cannot be undone.
If a release has sales, the delete option is not available to protect buyers' download access. Contact us if you have exceptional circumstances.
Common questions
I want to release a new version of an EP — should I archive the old one? It's up to you. Many artists keep both listed, with a note in the description that a newer version is available. You could also upload the new version as a new release.
Will fans be notified when I unpublish a release? No automatic notification is sent. Fans who have purchased it retain their downloads.
The release had a mistake in the audio — can I replace the file? Yes — go to the release in your dashboard, click Edit, and re-upload the track. Existing buyers will get the new file when they re-download.
